You know that rare feeling when you meet someone whose energy just clicks with yours?

That’s exactly how it was when Kent and Ryan met in college. Both were passionate athletes—Kent trained in Judo with the Japanese Olympic team and fought in Muay Thai in Thailand, while also expressing his creativity through large-scale murals. Ryan had that same go-getter energy as a high school cross-country and track team captain.

But at 19, a tragic accident left Ryan paralyzed from the waist down, and everything changed. Spending the next few years navigating his new norm, Ryan began searching for new hobbies that could help through his mental and physical recovery. Through this search, he discovered scuba diving.

After that Ryan and Kent headed to Catalina and became PADI® certified divers and that is where the concept of what we now know as Neuro was born.

Meet Kent & Ryan

It was that moment when Ryan realized with their matching energy that people enter your life for a reason. Kent was right there, supporting Ryan through this his journey, and being a supportive friend in every way. It was that experience that made them realize they could create something bigger out of their need for a more sustainable way to be more productive each day and Neuro was founded in 2015.

Kent knew the struggle all too well—between school and his own training, he needed a better solution than supplements, energy drinks, or unpredictable caffeine from coffee. He started experimenting with different nootropics and shared them with Ryan, but they wanted something more convenient and reliable.

So, with Kent’s background in neuroscience and Ryan’s in chemistry, they put their heads together to create an all-natural gum and mint packed with scientifically backed ingredients that boost energy and focus. And so, Neuro Gum and Mints were born.

Fast forward to today, and Neuro fuels people all around the globe—including us. Ryan discovered a renewed passion for racing and went on to train with the Paralympic team and get his pilot’s license, while Kent continues to create large-scale murals seen worldwide.
